If you plan on playing a mimic, you need to be willing spending all your time on hunting forms. This is the main drawback of mimics. The first good form you will get is Green Dragonrider. Replace birth items with gold
Let's look at it... 99% of the starting items for characters are junk and never used. And they're level 0 unsellable pointless items too. So why not spare players the hassle of destroying those items and replace them with starting cash instead?

Server seed is in the savefile. Just ask the admins what the value is and change that value in your own server savefile, and you should have a replica of the official server!

Is the current Tomenet server still using text savefiles? If so, there's a known problem of such savefiles being really slow to save, so you get server lag when it tries to save its state which happens every minute, or less if you configured it badly in mangband.cfg.

I agree here. Graphics are nice, but you *need* to be able to tell the difference between say an Erinyes and a Greater Balrog.
